Read Romantically publishes mature, explicit dark romance written for adult women. Here's what that means in practice.
Who this is for
Every story on Read Romantically, including The Saintless Society, is written for readers 18 and older. This is not young adult fiction, and it isn't meant to be read by minors.
What you can expect
Our stories lean into the tropes dark romance readers love: obsession, power imbalance, morally grey heroes, slow-burn tension, and explicit heat. Emotions run high, characters are flawed on purpose, and the romance is rarely gentle.
Content notes
Where a chapter contains particularly intense themes, we aim to flag it with a short content note so readers can make informed choices about what they're picking up.
Our hard lines
Regardless of genre conventions, there are lines we never cross:
- No underage characters in sexual situations, ever.
- No incest.
- No non-consent presented approvingly or as aspirational.
- No gratuitous violence for its own sake.
